The 20 cheapest destinations for sending parcels from Italy in 2025

Sending parcels abroad from Italy can be surprisingly cheap, especially to certain countries.

cheap_destinations_to_ship_parcels_from_Italy_2025

In this article we present the ranking of the 20 cheapest international destinations in 2025 for shipping, balancing the cost average sending and the popularity (application for shipments) of each destination.

We will examine the reasons why these destinations are convenient, with data and practical advice.

Key factors: The cost of a parcel shipment depends mainly on the distance (tariff zones), the weight/size of the parcel and the customs duties.

Shipping to Europe has lower costs (no duties and reduced distances), while for the non-EU destinations customs clearance charges and longer delivery times must be considered.

In addition, all couriers calculate the volumetric weight in addition to the actual weight: the volume of the parcel (length × width × height in cm) divided by a standard divisor (often 5000) determines the taxable weight.

This means that send a large parcel but light could cost the same as a heavy pack - packing properly and compact helps to save money.

Couriers and tariffs: For our analysis, we considered the main international express couriers - UPS, DHL, FedEx and TNT - with which SpedizioneComoda cooperates.

In particular UPS often offers favourable rates for many destinations through special agreements on our platform.

Below, for each destination, we indicate a rank cost (ranking by affordability) and a rank popularity (position by shipment volume), as well as indicative cost examples for parcels of 2-4 kg10 kg e 50 kg (real or volumetric equivalent weight).

Note: All prices listed are for express delivery (no postal services), indicative and excluding VAT

1.🇩🇪 Germany (Cost: #1, Popularity: #1)

Why it pays off: Germany is Italy's first trading partner and one of the busiest routes for shipments.

Being close to and within the European Union, send a parcel in Germany is cheap, quick and without customs complications.

High volumes of traded goods ensure competitive rates due to strong competition between couriers.

Costs and time: A standard parcel to Germany benefits from the lowest European tariffs: for example, UPS offers shipping standard from approx.

  • 12 € for small packages up to ~4 kg volumetric.

Even heavier packages remain affordable,

  • with 18 € for average packages of ~10 kg e
  • 54 € for bulky packages up to50 kg).

Delivery times are fast:

  • 24/48 hours in major German cities with express services,
  • while 48-72 hours in remote areas.

Recommended couriers: All major couriers operate on this route thanks to the efficient road and air network between Italy and Germany. UPS in particular guarantees excellent rates and fast delivery.

With SpedizioneComoda you have access to the best UPS rates for Germany, with home pick-up and delivery included.

2.🇫🇷 France (Cost: #2, Popularity: #3)

Why it pays off: France, another neighbouring country and EU member, offers cheap and fast shipping from Italy.

Trade volumes are high - France is firmly among the top three destination markets for Italian exports - and this is reflected in a wide range of low-cost shipping services.

No customs barriers and geographical proximity make dispatch to France a simple and inexpensive operation.

Costs and time: Shipping a small parcel to France can cost little more than

  • 12 € for parcels up to 4 kg with a standard express courier from Milan to Paris.

For larger packages, costs remain low:

  • a parcel 10 kg can cost around 21
  • while for 50 kg one can expect about 53 €

Standard delivery times are 1 to 3 daysUPS e DHL both offer very good services on this route;

in particular SpedizioneComoda allows you to take advantage of UPS rates Saver economical for France, optimising the cost/delivery time ratio.

3.🇦🇹 Austria (Cost: #3, Popularity: #10)

Why it pays off: Austria is an immediate neighbour of Italy and is one of the cheapest destinations for shipping.

The short distance - especially from north-eastern Italy - favours low transport costs and quick deliveries (even in 24 hours for areas close to the border).

Since it is an EU country, there are no duties or customs procedures, which further simplifies and speeds up shipping.

Despite being a smaller market than Germany or France, parcel shipment to Austria receives a fair volume of parcels from Italy (also thanks to trade and tourism links), guaranteeing favourable rates.

Costs and time: Shipping up to

  • 4 kg at Austria typically costs about 12 € aligned with standard EU tariffs.
  • For an average parcel of 10 kg the indicative cost is 19 €
  • while for a voluminous neck from 50 kg can be estimated about 58 €

Delivery times vary from 1 to 2 days working days for Vienna and other major cities (thanks to direct overland connections), up to a maximum of 4 days for more remote locations.

UPS e TNT/FedEx offer a dense network between Italy and Austria;

with the support of SpedizioneComoda is often UPS to distinguish itself as the most cost-effective courier on this route, thanks to its negotiated rates and reliable door-to-door service.

4.🇪🇸 Spain (Cost: #4, Popularity: #6)

Why it pays off: Despite the greater geographical distance, parcel delivery in Spain is one of the cheapest destinations for those travelling from Italy, mainly due to the high volume of shipments and EU membership.

Italian companies export a lot to Spain (sales have been growing in double figures in recent years) and this allows couriers to optimise transport.

In addition, Spain is a popular destination for relocation and tourism: many Italians reside in Spain and vice versa, generating a constant flow of parcels (e.g. personal belongings, foodstuffs, etc.).

The absence of internal EU customs makes everything simpler and faster.

Costs and time: Shipping a standard parcel up to

  • 4 kg in Spain involves an indicative cost of 12 € with standard overland service.
  • For a package of 10 kg the average price is around 18 € while
  • for heavier items (e.g. 50 kg) you can spend about 59 €

Delivery times to Madrid or Barcelona are usually 2-3 days working;

Island destinations (Canary Islands, Balearic Islands) require a few extra days and a surcharge on the cost of peninsular Spain.

UPS e DHL have strong networks on this route: via SpedizioneComoda you can compare their rates, but often UPS is a winner in terms of cost/time ratio for mainland Spain, guaranteeing on-time delivery within 72 hours on many routes.

5.🇵🇱 Poland (Cost: #5, Popularity: #12)

Why it pays off: La Poland represents one of the emerging destinations for Italian exports, Shipping to Poland, in Eastern Europe enjoys relatively low shipping costs.

Although geographically more distant, it falls within the economically advantageous European tariff zones thanks to the EU.

The growing trade exchange and the presence of Polish communities in Italy (although not as numerous as others) ensure a constant flow of shipments.

In addition, many Italian companies have factories or partners in Poland, contributing volumes to keep tariffs competitive.

Costs and time: Shipping to Poland a parcel of

  • 4 kg involves an estimated cost of 17 € while a neck from
  • 10 kg can cost around 29 €,
  • For bulky packages (e.g. 50 kg) the target price rises to approx. 58.50 €

however convenient considering the distance (over 1000 km from Italy).

Standard delivery times vary between 3 and 5 working days depending on the service chosen and the destination (Warsaw and large cities tend to have faster deliveries, rural areas may require an extra day).

All major couriers - UPS, DHL, FedEx, TNT - extensively cover the Italy-Poland route. In particular TNT stands out for its competitive prices for large pallets and weights while UPS, thanks to its extensive European network, offers cheaper solutions overland for medium-light parcels to Poland.

6.🇬🇧 United Kingdom (Cost: #6, Popularity: #4)

Why it pays off: Despite Brexit, the United Kingdom remains a popular and relatively inexpensive destination for shipments from Italy.

The volume of parcels to the UK is still high (both due to trade and the large Italian community living in the UK), which allows for economies of scale.

As of 2021, the UK is a non-EU country, but couriers have streamlined customs procedures to keep time and costs under control.

The absence of language barriers and strong economic ties make shipments of Italian goods (fashion, food, design) across the Channel frequent.

Costs and time: The rates for dispatch to UK are slightly higher than intra-EU, but remain affordable. For example, UPS for truck service charges rates such as:

  • Shipping up to 3 kg in England can cost around 15.35 €;
  • a parcel from 10 kg around 26 €;
  • for bulky packages from 50 kg are estimated to be around 52.60

Express delivery times are considerable: they range from 24 to 48 hours (72-96 truck service) to London and major economic centres (thanks to daily direct flights), up to 3-4 days for economic services or more remote areas.

DHL e FedEx are widely used on this route, with UPS which often offers more competitive prices via SpedizioneComoda, with the added advantage of including services such as fast customs clearance and document management - crucial for post-Brexit shipments.

7.🇨🇭 Switzerland (Cost: #7, Popularity: #5)

Why it pays off: La Switzerland is a special case: despite being outside the EU, it is geographically embedded in Italy (just think of the Italian-speaking Canton Ticino) and has very close relations with our country.

Thousands of Italians live and work in Switzerland and vice versa, generating a continuous flow of parcels (documents, food, clothing, etc.).

Proximity reduces transport costs - shipping to Lugano or Zurich is not very different from a national shipment in terms of distance - and couriers have important logistics hubs (Milan and Zurich) that optimise routes.

Despite being outside the EU, customs procedures with Switzerland are smooth and fast.

Costs and time: Shipping to Switzerland

  • 3 kg can cost around 14 €, slightly more than an equivalent shipment in the EU.
  • For a parcel of 10 kg you spend about 28.50 € while for heavy packages
  • 50 kg the indicative cost is 76 €. The delivery time is excellent:

often 24/48 hours for major Swiss cities (also considering customs clearance).

Many couriers (such as TNT/FedEx) already include customs clearance fees for shipments up to 68 kg, making it easier.

UPS, thanks to its dense cross-border network, offers some of the best times and costs: through SpedizioneComoda you can get UPS rates Saver very advantageous for Switzerland, with the parcel passing through customs transparently for the user.

A word of advice: always prepare a pro forma invoice or valuable documents for Swiss customs to avoid delays; SpedizioneComoda assists with this.

8.🇳🇱 Netherlands (Cost: #8, Popularity: #9)

Why it pays off: I The Netherlands (the Netherlands) are a European logistics hub (the port of Rotterdam and Amsterdam-Schiphol airport are crucial hubs) and this also benefits those shipping from Italy.

The Italy-Netherlands routes are well served by frequent air and land couriers, keeping costs relatively low.

The Netherlands is in the EU and adopts uniform European postal tariffs, without duties or customs complications.

Although it has a small population, it is a receptive market for Italian products (technology, fashion, food) and hosts a large international community (including many Italians in Amsterdam, The Hague, etc.), factors that fuel constant shipments.

Costs and time: Shipping to Holland a package of

  • 4 kg has a typical cost of 12 €, in line with other EU medium-haul destinations.
  • A parcel 10 kg can cost around 22 €, while a very heavy shipment
  • 50 kg will be around 58.50 €.

Standard delivery times are approx. 3 working days (e.g. from Milan to Amsterdam by land), but with air express services you can also deliver in 24-48 hours.

Among the couriers, TNT has Dutch roots and a strong local presence, however, thanks to SpedizioneComoda also UPS e DHL they offer very good fares on this route.

We take advantage of the integrated European network to offer tracked and punctual shipments to the Netherlands, often with lower prices than standard price lists thanks to the discounts available on our platform.

9.🇧🇪 Belgium (Cost: #9, Popularity: #8)

Why it pays off: The Belgium is another EU country of small size but of great historical importance for Italian communities abroad.

Since the post-war period, there have been intensive connections (just think of the many Italians who emigrated to the Belgian mines): today, many Italian descendants and professionals live in Belgium, especially in Brussels, the EU headquarters.

This human and institutional link means that Italy-Belgium shipments are frequent and relatively cheap.

The not too great distance and efficient European transport networks enable fast delivery at low costs.

In addition, Belgium buys machinery, food and fashion from Italy, increasing the volume of parcels sent.

Costs and time: An expedition to Belgium by

  • 4 kg costs around 12 €, while for a neck from 10 kg you spend about 21.70 €.

Shipping large parcels:

  • 50 kg remains affordable: approximately 53 €,.

Transit times to Brussels or Antwerp are 2-3 days via truck, reduced to 24h with express air options. DHL has one of its main hubs right in Brussels, guaranteeing efficiency, but UPS e FedEx/TNT are no less on this route.

Through SpedizioneComoda you can easily find the most suitable courier: for example, UPS often offers economical solutions for Belgium thanks to its logistics centres in Northern Europe, and also allows delivery at Access Point in Belgian cities (useful for those who work in EU offices and prefer to collect parcels at a convenient location).

10.🇬🇷 Greece (Cost: #10, Popularity: #15)

Why it pays off: La Greece may seem further away than other European destinations, but it still benefits from favourable rates within the EU.

Italy and Greece are connected by intense sea and air traffic (Adriatic-Ionian routes), which couriers use to move shipments quickly.

In addition, there is a tradition of friendship and tourism between the two countries: many Italians send souvenirs, personal belongings for seasonal travel or purchased goods (e.g. Greek oil and wine in exchange for Italian specialities) to Greece.

Although Greece is not one of the most popular destinations, it maintains a steady flow of parcels from Italy, enough to guarantee affordable costs.

Costs and time: Send

  • a package of 3 kg in Greece involves an approximate cost of 14.50.
  • For an average parcel of 10 kg the price rises to about 28.80 €, while for
  • 50 kg we are around 58.60 €.

These figures reflect the fact that some routes may include a ferry segment (e.g. to reach islands), but they remain small.

In terms of time, it takes 3-5 days for standard delivery on the mainland (e.g. Athens, Thessaloniki), while for more remote islands the time may be a few days longer.

TNT/FedEx often offers excellent solutions to mainland Greece, integrating air routes to Athens. UPS, for its part, has direct flights from Italy and thanks to SpedizioneComoda allows shipping to Greece at rates economy convenient, with assistance on filling in the documents (although in the EU the waybill is sufficient).

11.🇺🇸 United States of America (Cost: #15, Popularity: #2)

Why it pays off: The USA may not seem “cheap” in an absolute sense, given the transatlantic distance, but surprisingly they make it into our top 20 thanks to the huge shipping volume and subsidised rates available.

The United States is the second largest destination for Italian exports (10.4% of the total) and are home to a very large community of Italian-Americans.

In addition, the boom in e-commerce has multiplied parcels from Italy to the US (e.g. purchases of Italian products by American consumers).

All this means daily cargo flights full of parcels and strong competition between couriers - fertile ground for lower prices.

ShippingComoda, in partnership with UPS, offers incredibly favourable rates for ship to the United States, transforming the idea that shipping overseas is prohibitively expensive.

Costs and time: With the right precautions, shipping a parcel to the United States can cost as much as a fast intra-European shipment.

For example, an urgent 1 kg document from Rome to New York via UPS Saver can cost approximately 27 € with next-day delivery - an achievement unthinkable just a few years ago.

In general, for a

  • parcel 3 kg towards the USA consider a cost around 29.00 €;
  • a neck from 10 kg 55.50 €;
  • a large package 50 kg approx. 204 €.

Rates vary if you choose shipping Express (2-3 days by air) or Economy (3-5 days).

Good prices can often be obtained through SpedizioneComoda.

The delivery time by express courier is excellent: 2-4 days for most of the states (from the coasts to inland cities).

UPS is highly recommended for the US - it is no coincidence that it is an American company with an extensive network there - and thanks to our agreements we can offer its best rates.

Also FedEx e DHL guarantee excellent service; however, UPS often excels in the cost/speed ratio on US shipments, especially for heavy parcels, including full tracking and efficient customs clearance (remember that at spedizionecomoda.com US customs clearance is handled automatically: you only have to provide a detailed description of the contents and value).

12.🇨🇦 Canada (Cost: #16, Popularity: #13)

Why it pays off: The Canada is another transoceanic destination made accessible by trade volumes and international agreements.

The Italian-Canadian community is large and keeps ties with Italy alive (shipments of personal belongings, food, gifts are common especially around holidays).

In addition, the trade agreement CETA between the EU and Canada has eliminated many duties, facilitating the shipment of goods.

This means that shipping a parcel of Italian products to Canada can be not only simpler in terms of customs, but also cost-effective.

On the business side, Canada imports machinery, wines and design products from Italy: samples and small supplies often travel by express courier.

All these factors contribute to keeping shipping costs as low as possible, given the distance.

Costs and time: For dispatch in Canada

  • 3 kg the indicative cost is 34 €,

very similar to that for the United States (sometimes slightly higher due to the lower frequency of direct flights to some Canadian cities).

  • A package from 10 kg can be around 60 €, while for
  • 50 kg a cost of 185 €.

Delivery times by express courier are in the order of 2-5 working days:

for example, 3 days approximately to deliver from Milan to Toronto or Montréal, up to 5 days for destinations in the West (Vancouver, Calgary).

UPS e FedEx have important air hubs in Canada and offer reliable services;

via Comfortable Shipping, UPS is often the cheapest choice due to negotiated rates, while maintaining fast delivery times (even 24-48h delivery to east coast cities).

Note that, thanks to CETA, many items shipped as merchandise benefit from duty exemption - however, a declaration of origin must be made if the value exceeds a certain threshold.

Our team can help with these formalities, ensuring that your parcel to Canada arrives without any hiccups or surprises of additional costs.

13.🇸🇪 Sweden (Cost: #13, Popularity: #14)

Why it pays off: La Sweden is among the most distant European destinations from Italy, but still benefits from standard European fares and efficient connections.

Italy exports various products to Sweden (machinery, design, food) and although the Italian community in Sweden is not very large, there is a fair amount of parcel exchange due to trade and international mobility of students and professionals.

In addition, the recent increase in Italian exports to Sweden (growing at double-digit rates) suggests an increased demand for shipments, which couriers meet with competitive rates.

Costs and time: Sending a parcel

  • until 3 kg in Sweden has an estimated cost of 15.00
  • while for 10 kg we are around 24.50 €
  • A voluminous parcel from 50 kg can cost approximately 61.50 €

Despite the distance, delivery times by air are fast (even 48 hours to Stockholm with express services).

By land, couriers take approximately 4-6 days to cover the route as far as southern Sweden - a reasonable time.

DHL e UPS have hubs in Northern Europe that efficiently sort packages to Sweden.

Through SpedizioneComoda, you can often access rates UPS Standard cost-effective even over long distances, using the train/truck combination to keep costs down without sacrificing reliable timing.

Tip: when shipping in winter, bear in mind that some remote Swedish areas may experience slight delays due to the weather, but express couriers are equipped for extreme conditions.

14.🇷🇴 Romania (Cost: #14, Popularity: #15)

Why it pays off: La Romania stands out due to the huge community of Romanian citizens in Italy (over 1 million residents), which generates a very high volume of personal shipments to this country.

From personal belongings to gifts for families back home, dispatch to Romania has become common practice and this has led to lower costs due to competition between couriers and specialised services.

In addition, Romania is an EU member, so no duties or customs delays - a major advantage when shipping goods.

Many Italian companies also have branches or collaborations in Romania, contributing to regular flows of parcels and goods.

Costs and time: The prices for Romania are among the lowest in Eastern Europe. Indicatively for small parcels up to

  • 3 kg in Romania can cost around  21.00 ;
  • a parcel from 10 kg approx. 32.00 € ;
  • a voluminous neck of 50 kg approx. 61.50

Standard delivery times are 3-5 days by land (e.g. from Rome to Bucharest ~4 days).

It should be noted that there are also courier services dedicated to the Romanian community that transport parcels by road, but using express couriers such as UPS/DHL via SpedizioneComoda provides superior traceability and speed.

UPS offers excellent rates due to the frequency of shipments on this route, and services such as home pick-up in Italy and direct delivery in Romania (also in rural areas) at no extra cost - an added value for those shipping to family members.

15.🇧🇷 Brazil (Cost: #15, Popularity: #16)

Why it pays off: The Brazil is geographically distant, but historically close to Italy: it is home to one of the largest communities of Italian origin in the world (millions of Italian descendants).

Today, there are still cultural and family ties that result in packages sent from Italy, albeit less frequently than in other diasporas.

On the trade side, Brazil is the main South American market for Italy, with growing exports (e.g. machinery, fashion, cars).

While it used to be very expensive to send parcels to Brazil, the arrival of efficient international services and the partial liberalisation of the Brazilian postal market have improved the situation.

The Mercosur-EU agreement under discussion should also simplify future trade.

In summary, despite being among the most expensive destinations in the ranking, Brazil has become more accessible thanks to optimised fares.

Costs and time: Sending a parcel to Brazil starts from about

  • 56 € for a package up to 3kg
  • one from 10 kg approx. 60.50 €, and a dispatch of
  • 50 kg on 185 .

The factor to bear in mind for Brazil is the customs dutiesprivate import into Brazil is subject to relatively high taxes, but as a sender from Italy what affects the shipping cost is mainly the transport (taxes will eventually be paid by the recipient).

Express delivery times range from 3-5 days (e.g. for São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, which are connected via direct flights) up to 7-10 days for domestic locations or combined sea/air economy shipments.

DHL is very strong in South America and often guarantees faster customs clearance through its customs broker. UPS e FedEx also offer reliable services: with SpedizioneComoda you can compare their rates and services for Brazil and choose the most convenient option.

A plus: our system automatically provides customs documentation in Portuguese/English as required by the Brazilian authorities, streamlining the procedure.

In conclusion, despite being more expensive than average, shipping to Brazil is feasible without spending a fortune - especially if you take advantage of the consolidated rates we make available to our customers.

16.🇦🇺 Australia (Cost: #16, Popularity: #7)

Why it pays off: Australia - the farthest destination from Italy.

It may come as a surprise to see it listed, since the distance is enormous, but for that very reason Australia deserves a mention:

SpedizioneComoda has succeeded in making it an affordable shipping destination through partnerships with the right couriers. Hence the seventh place for popularity on our platform, our prices are competitive.

Italy historically has strong ties with Australia (hundreds of thousands of Italian-Australians live there).

Today, many Italians send packages to relatives in Australia (think typical food products or gifts), and conversely, Italian-Australians like to receive “a piece of Italy”.

Express couriers have developed effective air routes (often via hubs in Asia) and, although the market is niche, fares have lowered compared to the past.

In addition, our platform offers UPS negotiated rates which make shipments to Australia cheaper than you think

Costs and time: Sending a parcel to Australia has a basic cost from approx.

  • 56  € until 3 kg
  • 10 kg approx. 70.50 € and a very heavy parcel of
  • 50 kg around 297

Of course, costs vary with speed: services Express (direct flights) could cost more, while options Economy reduce the price but lengthen the time.

Express delivery times from Italy to Australia are typically 4-7 days (e.g. a Milan-Sydney shipment by air ~5 days).

With inexpensive modes, transit time of 7-10 days can be achieved, but is suitable for less urgent parcels.

UPS, through SpedizioneComoda, offers cost-effective solutions to Australia by combining air and land transits efficiently.

We often recommend UPS Worldwide Saver for a balance between cost and speed: with our discounted rates, many customers have been able to send parcels to Australia for less than €60 for small packages, a figure unthinkable when buying directly from the courier.

The customs aspect must be considered: Australia has strict regulations (biosecurity on food, wood, etc.), so the contents must be accurately declared.

But don't worry: we provide detailed guidelines on what can and cannot be shipped (e.g. cold meats and cheeses often banned), so the parcel will arrive without a hitch.

Ultimately, shipping to Australia remains the biggest challenge by distance, but with the right logistics partner - UPS through ShippingConvenience - becomes affordable for everyone, both economically and operationally.

17.🇨🇳 China (Cost: #17, Popularity: #15)

Why it pays off: La China is a complex destination in terms of distance and bureaucracy, but it is nevertheless among the possible destinations to send relatively inexpensively due to the huge volume of global traffic.

Italy exports luxury goods, machinery and agri-food products to China, and there are Chinese communities in Italy that sometimes send packages to family members (although, it must be said, the main flow is often the reverse, from China to Italy).

Thanks to the dense network of cargo flights connecting Europe and China every day and the competition between international couriers, the prices to ship a single parcel have fallen compared to the past.

In addition, SpedizioneComoda, through couriers such as UPS, DHL and TNT (FedEx), is able to offer rates customised to China, optimising routes and services.

Costs and time: Shipping to China a small parcel is significantly more expensive than European routes, but still manageable.

Prices (indicative) may vary depending on the destination city: send to Hong Kong o Shanghai often cheaper than to poorly served inland Chinese locations.

With SpedizioneComoda, even better rates can be obtained, especially by bundling shipments.

Express delivery times to China are in the order of 3-5 working days for major metropolises (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou) and up to 7-10 days for remote areas or cheap mainland services.

DHL is known for its efficiency on routes to China, but UPS is no different: the latter offers a service called UPS Worldwide Saver covering China in a cost-effective manner.

At spedizionecomoda.com we often recommend UPS to ship to China, thanks to our discounted rates: for example, shipping

  • 3 kg in China with UPS could cost around 49€ (against much higher list prices).
  • 10 kg have a price of 70.50 €,
  • While 50 kg cost 297 €

Of course, customs documentation must be carefully prepared (commercial invoice, tariff codes, etc.), but we provide integrated support on this.

18.🇯🇵 Japan (Cost: #18, Popularity: #18)

Reason for choice: Japan represents a mature Asian market with strong demand for Italian products (fashion, design, food) and excellent logistics infrastructure that allows relatively efficient shipments even from Italy.

Despite the distance, the frequency of air routes and the stability of customs procedures make it an «intercontinental» destination that is nevertheless accessible thanks to negotiated fares.

Indicative costs and times:

  • Sending a parcel 2 kg in Japan can cost around 42 €
  • for 10 kg approx. 67,50€;
  • for 50 kg (or volumetric equivalent) around 294 €.

Standard delivery times range from 4 to 10 days work in major Japanese cities.

Shipping tipComoda / UPS: Make sure that the commercial invoice, waybill and packing list are complete in all parts to avoid delays at customs.

20.🇮🇳 India (Cost: #20, Popularity: #20)

Why it pays off: L’India is another vast Asian country where shipping from Italy is becoming more common and economically feasible.

Italy-India trade relations have grown in recent years (Italian exports to India at € 5.2 billion in 2024) and are agreements were initiated to facilitate exchanges

Although the Indian community in Italy (about 150,000 people) is not huge, it does exist and involves occasional parcel deliveries (e.g. Punjabi families sending traditional clothes or necessities to India, and vice versa).

Moreover, India as a technology market attracts Italian start-ups and professionals, generating shipments of equipment, documents and prototypes.

Competition between international couriers on the Indian subcontinent is strong, which keeps prices affordable compared to the past.

Costs and time: The cost of sending a parcel

  • 3 kg in India can cost around 70.50 €
  • 10 kg around 76.00 € while sending a bulky parcel
  • by 50 kg can take about 324.50 €.

Delivery times vary between 3 and 6 days by air express for major cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore), extending to 7-9 days for more peripheral destinations or economy services.

FedEx e DHL have well-established networks in India and often include full customs assistance (remember that KYC - Know Your Customer - of the consignee may be required in India for customs clearance, and our couriers assist you with this).

A specific tip for India: make sure you describe the content and its use (gift, personal items, commercial sample, etc.) well, so as to facilitate the Indian customs authorities and minimise possible duties or GST (Goods and Services Tax).

With our support, even this step becomes simple and the shipment to India is cheap and reliable

21.🇰🇷 South Korea (Rank Cost: #19 Rank Popularity: #19)

Reason for choice: South Korea has established a free trade agreement with the European Union (the EU-South Korea Free Trade Agreement) that eliminates or reduces many import/export duties, making shipping from Italy to this country cheaper than to other Asian markets.

Moreover, the Italy-Korea trade volume is growing strongly, supported by efficient transport and strong international logistics infrastructure.

Indicative costs and times: To ship to South Korea,
