In fact, these couriers ship to Europe by road. The services offered by these two companies to ship parcels are different.
Shipping by DPDgroup
DPDgroup's services are especially suitable for private individuals and small companies. For example, it is not possible to send pallets or cash-on-delivery consignments. It is also not possible to send parcels to trade fairs.
The DPDGroup delivers from 48 hours after collection and limits the maximum weight to 31.5 kg, total dimensions of 300 cm and no more than 1 package.
Service operated by EuroExpress
The courier company EuroExpress allows not only one parcel to be shipped within Europe, but also multiple parcels. It also accepts the shipment of pallets. However, it does not contribute to shorter delivery times.
In fact, the delivery time of EuroExpress is more than 48 hours. Through this service you can dispatch a parcel up to 2 cubic metres, 50 kg in weight and maximum overall dimensions of 120 x 300 x 150 cm.
Bartolini International Services – BRT courier

Getting a quote from Bartolini
A very important feature that is missing from the BRT courier’s website, but is available on the DHL website and UPS is the online quote. In fact, this function is only accessible to registered users.
Consequently, if you do not have – or do not wish to create – a profile on the website, you will need to contact the company directly to request a quote by telephone or email. Alternatively, if you have an account and a password to access the members’ area, you can obtain a quote for your shipment online.
So you only need to indicate:
- starting address;
- destination address;
- particularity of the service requested (Express, Priority, 10.30 etc.);
- package size;
- weight of the package;
- desired day for collection.
This will give you an indicative quote, excluding VAT, for your shipment. If you wish to register for the service, you will need to complete and sign a specific form available on the website, and send it by fax to the company. Once you have received your password, you can also use the portal to book a home collection.
Bartolini customer service contacts

Bartolini's capillarity
In short, BRT is an excellent courier service with almost a hundred years’ experience in Italy. Despite this, it may not be the best choice for those wishing to send parcels abroad.
Its offer is, in fact, limited compared to that of other international express couriers such as UPS, DHL and TNT. Its deliveries are also more extensive than those of some of its competitors. At the same time, if you are comparing different couriers for your shipments, getting a quote from BRT will be more complex.
While it only takes one click to estimate shipping costs with other companies, Bartolini requires the creation of an account.
